Recovery Kit Ltd — Equipment Hire Terms and Conditions

Parties and Equipment

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the hire of equipment ("Equipment") by the customer ("Hirer") from Recovery Kit Ltd ("Company"). The Equipment includes the NICE1 Recovery Unit, the selected wrap for the relevant body part, the shipping box, and all included accessories. Any Incrediwear braces or sleeves purchased alongside a hire are sold outright and are not part of the hired Equipment; those items are governed by the Company's Terms and Conditions of Sale (Purchase tab above).

Hire Period and Confirmation

The hire period is specified at the time of booking and displayed before checkout. After payment is completed, the Hirer will receive an email confirmation containing a paid invoice, which will include the hire start and end dates and a copy of these Terms and Conditions.

Rescheduling

The Company understands that surgery dates and recovery plans can change. If the Hirer needs to reschedule the hire and provides at least 72 hours' notice before the scheduled hire start date, the Company will, at no additional cost, either move the booking to the Hirer's new date or place the booking on hold until the new date is confirmed. Where less than 72 hours' notice is given, the Equipment may already have been dispatched and in transit; in that case a £40 rescheduling fee applies to cover the costs of arranging its return. If the Equipment has not yet been dispatched, this fee is waived, as no additional cost has been incurred. Once the hire period has started, rescheduling requests can no longer be accommodated.

Cancellations and Refunds

If the Hirer wishes to cancel the hire entirely before the hire period has started, the Company will arrange a refund within 3–5 business days, less a £29.99 administration fee. Once the hire period has commenced, the Company is unable to facilitate cancellations or rescheduling requests, and the hire fee is non-refundable. This does not affect the Hirer's statutory rights.

Return Requirements

The Hirer must return the Equipment in full and in good working order — collected by Royal Mail or dropped off at a Post Office — no later than 5:00pm on the final day of the hire period (or, where that day is a Sunday, by 5:00pm the following Monday), using the return packaging provided by the Company. Return shipping is free: the Company will either arrange a Royal Mail collection from the Hirer's address or provide a prepaid Royal Mail drop-off QR code to take to any Post Office (no printer required). So that the collection or QR can be arranged in time, the Hirer must initiate the return — via the link in the end-of-hire email, or by contacting the Company directly — by the deadline stated in that email, which is two days before the final day of the hire period.

Late Returns and Additional Charges

Unless otherwise agreed with the Company (for example, in exceptional circumstances), a late return charge of £25 per day applies for each day after the final day of the hire period that the Equipment remains unreturned — that is, has not yet been collected by Royal Mail or dropped off at a Post Office. Where the final day of the hire period falls on a Sunday, the Equipment may instead be returned by 5:00pm the following Monday at no extra charge, with the late charge accruing only for each day after that. The Company may also recover further costs, including but not limited to collection and recovery costs and, where the Equipment is not returned at all or is returned in an irreparable condition, the full replacement cost. These charges are payable immediately upon notification.

Extensions

Prior to the end of the hire period, the Company will send the Hirer an email with options to extend or arrange a return. The Hirer may extend their hire by selecting an extension option and completing payment online, or arrange a return by selecting a return option in the email. Extensions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, as the Equipment may be reserved for another customer; the Company will let the Hirer know if a requested extension cannot be accommodated. Extensions are subject to additional charges as displayed at the time of the request. If the Hirer does not respond, the Company may contact the Hirer directly.

Use and Care of Equipment

The Hirer agrees to use the Equipment safely, responsibly, and only in accordance with any instructions provided. The Hirer must not modify, tamper with, or misuse the Equipment in any way.

Loss, Faults, and Damage

Any fault, damage, or loss must be reported to the Company immediately. The Hirer is liable for any loss or damage to the Equipment during the hire period, except for reasonable wear and tear as determined by the Company. Recovery Kit Ltd reserves the right to charge the full replacement cost for any Equipment not returned or returned in an irreparable condition.

Liability Disclaimer

Recovery Kit Ltd accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use or misuse of the Equipment, except where such liability cannot be lawfully excluded. The Hirer assumes full responsibility for the Equipment and its use for the duration of the hire period.

Acceptance of Terms

By completing an online payment, the Hirer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions of Hire.
