“I hired the Nice 1 recently for post partial knee replacement on the recommendation of a friend. The customer service and ease of delivery and set up have been excellent. The machine itself is currently invaluable. I am week three and use it all the time, it's very easy and comfortable to use; so much easier than getting ice out of the freezer every time. I've tried ice from the freezer and the Nice 1 and there is honestly no comparison. The Nice 1 is so easy. It's good to use prior to doing the horrible exercises and also afterwards for soothing pain. It's well worth the money and I wouln't hesitate to recommend it. The first machine I had, developed a fault but customer services were brilliant and immediatley delivered another one and collected the faulty one. The whole service has been seamless. i love it!!!”

“A godsend for night time 20 mins on 20 mins off with intermittent massaging. The only thing I would like improved is..... the lining of the sleeve that you velcro to your knee, doesn't really fit in any way and the material that inflates and deflates against your pyjamas feels quite stiff and pokey. in to the sore areas of the limb. I would have preferred if the material chosen could have been softer and that the whole sleeve wrapped itself more closely fitting and wrapping around the leg - like a normal basic ice pack set.. Still a godsend though! And great swift delivery and collection. No problems”

“What a fabulous piece of kit. Arrived on time, which was 2 days before op, so I could get it ready and In position for post op. So simple to set up and use. Step by step instructions. Like I said so so simple. If I say 5 minutes, that would be over exaggerated. It was better than I thought it would have been. When your hire is coming to and end a couple of days before you get the return reminder or an option to extend. I took the option and extended it for two more weeks. I cannot recommend highly enough. Return was a simple process too. Put it in the same box as delivered in, take to post office, they scan a code that is sent. That's it. Even easier if you want it collecting from the house by royal mail. I had it for a TKR of the left knee. I am on the list for my right knee doing. 100% I will be hiring one again. Thankyou you so much.”

“Ahead of my total knee replacement, I looked closely at what would make the biggest difference in my recovery. I knew icing would be essential, but the NICE1 immediately appealed as the perfect combination of cooling and compression. With no direct ice touching the skin, I could keep it on for extended periods, and the steady compression encouraged blood flow to the healing tissue. Most importantly, it genuinely reduced the swelling. I used it regularly, day and evening, for six weeks alongside my physio exercises. By the end of that period, the improvement was remarkable. At roughly 74p per hour over the full six weeks, the rental was unquestionably the best investment I made for my recovery.”

“The team were very helpful when my surgery got postponed a month with just 48hrs notice. The kit was already out for delivery and they arranged for the kit to be picked up quickly and adjusted the rental dates for my new surgery date. While recovering from my op, it was really quick and easy to use and great for pain relief. Though expensive, the great customer service and easy drop-off/pick-up logistics definitely make it worth it.”

“We used the NICE1 recovery system after my son’s knee surgery, and it made a huge difference in managing his pain and swelling. It’s very quiet, compact compared to other machines we looked at, and incredibly easy to use. One of the best features is that you only need to fill it with water once, so there’s no constant refilling or dealing with ice. You can also dim the screen, which was really useful when he was using it at night. The service was also excellent. The team was very helpful and responsive, which made the whole experience even easier. The only downside for us was that it can only be used on one knee at a time. My son had bilateral knee surgery, so we had to keep switching it from one leg to the other. Overall, we were extremely happy with it and found it made his recovery much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend it for post-surgery recovery.”

I wish I could have used it at night too, but because I was living alone it was difficult to carry upstairs! Excellent support and guidance provided by owner Eleanor, who helped me, guided with extra support re side effects I have after surgery re nerve damaged and took her time to explain things to me.”

“I did quite a lot of research and I wanted a cold and compression device as small and portable as possible. Also, this doesn’t need any ice - you just fill it once with water and it gets v cold from that. It was small and easy to move. The only down side was that I thought it was expensive to hire - it was quite a lot more than other models which I think may put some people off. But for use after my total knee replacement, as a machine I could easily manage on my own it was excellent.”

“This was absolutely brilliant. From the ease of ordering, the delivery, to the return process. The actual machine was a god send in my recovery from a total knee replacement. It is easy to operate, has plenty of choice of settings and only uses 300mm of water which lasts for days! I would definitely recommend for anybody having a knee replacement. This was my second knee replacement and using this machine this time around has hastened my recovery so much by not only reducing the swelling after the operation but also helping with the pain. The compression and cold really do bring relief. My physio was amazed at my progress 5 weeks post operation. My recommendation would be to hire for 3/4 weeks to get the full benefit and most relief.”

“Having received reconstructive foot surgery following a serious industrial accident I looked to find a cryotherapy machine to aid my recovery. I used to run a lot and have huge ambitions to get back to it. No other machine on the market matches the ease of use and the results this machine gives cannot recommend trying one enough. As I have a long recovery root I have been so impressed I have actually purchased my own unit. Eleanor was amazing and made the whole rental experience very easy in what was a very difficult time. Go rent one today you will not be disappointed.”

“The kit itself couldn't be simpler. The assembly, the programming, the disassembly, the receiving of it, and the sending back of it. It is probably the most expensive of its kind on the market, but the difference between this model and other models is certainly worth paying because of the whole simplicity of operation. The kit stayed in one place, plugged in, all the time of the hire. Nobody had to carry anything around or refill with water or ice or anything of the kind. The kit saw to all that for me in terms of both coldness and compression, and I have the feeling that it made a great deal of difference to the speed of my recovery after my left knee replacement.”

“I must say, it was too big for me since I’m size XS. However, I realised I could use this lower which covered thighs and lower hip rather than in their picture. And it worked for me.”

“Very good bit of kit. So easy to handle. I needed help the first few days after getting home from hospital with two hip replacements. After that, i was able to fit the cold pack to one hip, after a session (i generally did 30 or 35 minutes) I could move the pack to second hip, perhaps back to first hip, or take a break for a while. So much handier than dealing with icepacks (especially if your freezer is below refrigerator, and there isn't always a helper at hand) and the added benefit of compression, which combined with lovely big area of coldness, helps to ease the unpleasant hot ache of post surgery hips. This is my first experience of using Recovery Kit. I have no other experience to compare it to. I can only say that i rented the machine upon recommendation of two Anericans who had each had one hip replaced. They loved the Recovery Kit. Told me I HAD TO get it! So i did. I loved it too. I had it for a month approximately. Yes it is expensive. £425.00 for 25 days. Another week for £100.00 more. However when you think of the cost of the machine to buy, and the management and maintenance needed, it is understandable. I miss it. But i am doing very well. Hot ache is gone. Mobility improvement each day.”

I had a competitor's machine last year following hip surgery but the NICE1 recovery kit was so much easier, so much better as you dont have to fill it up with ice every time you need it.
