The NICE1 is a professional cold and compression therapy machine, used across the UK by physiotherapists, sports clinics, and post-surgical recovery patients. We provide it directly to you at home so that the same care available in clinic continues throughout your recovery.
It combines controlled cold with adjustable compression to actively reduce swelling, inflammation and pain — the three things that slow recovery most. Treatment has the biggest effect in the first hours and days after surgery or injury, when keeping inflammation down materially shortens healing time.
Unlike traditional ice packs or older motorised pumps, the NICE1 is iceless. Fill the water reservoir, attach a body-specific wrap, and run a treatment cycle — no need to source ice or freeze refill packs. Wraps are shaped for the knee, hip, shoulder, ankle and back, so the cold reaches exactly where it's needed.

“Hi hired the Recovery kit to aid my recovery from knee replacement surgery. What I liked about the Nice1 was that it allowed me to be independent in so far as, I was able to use the kit at anytime day or night without having to rely on anyone else to fetch and carry ice packs from the freezer. Especially in the first two weeks of post op. I found that I was using the recovery kit on average 3-5 times during the day and 2-3 times during the night dependent on swelling and inflammation. I found the recovery kit’s user interface settings simple and easy to use and it gave options of coolness, compression levels and choice of intermittent compression or full compression. I found the level 1-2 coolness temp, medium compression and intermittent compression were the most comfortable settings for me. I originally hired the recovery kit for the initial 2 weeks post op and then extended to additional 2 weeks. As I felt it made a significant difference to managing the swelling and provided pain relief. The immediate coolness within the sleeve provided instant relief The downside is the device is noisy especially in the middle of the night and the display does throw out quite a lot of light which illuminated the room during use. So you may want to consider sleeping alone so as not to disturb your partner. The machine is quite heavy in so far and you can’t easily transport it from room to room without assistance especially in the first week or two post op. The physio asked me if I felt the recovery kit had met my expectations and that was difficult to answer because I had nothing else to compare to. But overall I found that the recovery kit did provide me with all of the benefits mentioned above and I liked the convenience and independence it enabled me to have during my recovery.”
